会長挨拶

協会役員

１９８１年にアメリカ・ミッドランﾄﾞ市との姉妹都市提携を機に発足いたしました半田国際交流協会は、２００３年１０月から、民間主体の運営組織に変更され、ボランティアの皆さんを中心に様々な活動を行っています。それまでに培われたアメリカ・ミッドランド市、オーストラリア・ポートマッコリー、中国・徐州市の３ヶ国の姉妹友好都市関係は、半田市との連携の下、更に心温まる市民レベルの交流として継続しています。

また、外国人のホームステイ受入、海外訪問団のお世話や交換生徒交流など、姉妹友好都市はもとより、諸外国の方々との市民交流も積極的に行っています。
この様な活動を通じて、市民の国際相互理解と友好親善を促進する事業も飛躍的に量・質ともに向上して参りました。また、在住外国人の方々との相互理解や、日本での生活習慣の啓発にも、昨今ニーズが高まっております。

半田国際交流協会は、市の委託金と会員の皆様の会費で運営されています。是非皆様のご協力をお願い申し上げます。また、ボランティア活動へのご参加・ご協力もよろしくお願い申し上げます。
