7月26日（火）半田市長表敬訪問　などなど
Courtesy visit to the mayor of Handa on July 26

半田市役所入口で 市の職員から大歓迎を受け、中に入る3人

City office workers welcomed three students at the entrance of city hall.

半田市の榊原純夫市長から歓迎の言葉がありました。

Mr. Sakakibara, Mayor of Handa, made a welcome speech.

ミッドランド高校生からは、ミッドランド市長及び姉妹都市委員会会長からのレターが半田市長及び協会会長に手渡されました。

Midland students delivered the letters from the mayor of Midland and the chairman of Midland Sister City Committee to the mayor of Handa and the chairman of Handa International Association.

半田市長表敬訪問の後は、姉妹都市のかけ橋となったダウケミカル工場を訪問。

After the courtesy visit, they went to Dow Kinu Ura Plant which contributed to the formation of sister city relationship between Midland and Handa.

ダウケミカル工場訪問の後は、半田国際交流協会 協会スタッフと一緒に築100年の建物を利用した日本レストラン（うさぎや）にて歓迎昼食会。

After the plant visit, they went to a Japanese restaurant "Usagiya" with the staff of Handa International Association to have a lunch..

The building of the restaurant is 100 year old.

7月28日 半田ロータリークラブでの昼食会参加の後、
半田ボーイスカウトメンバー（高校生4人）が案内してくれました。

Handa Rotary Club invited three students to lunch.

After that, Handa Boy Scout members took them to a tea ceremony
and Vinegar Museum.

半田ロータリークラブの昼食会の後、三人それぞれスピーチをしました。
They made speeches after lunch.

煎茶点前を体験しました。

そして、半田『酢の里』を見学しました。

ミッドランド高校生3人は、7月28日夕方、第1週目ホストファミリーから第2週目のホストファミリー宅へ移動しました。

They enjoyed a tea ceremony at Oguri's house and went to Vinegar Museum.

Midland students moved from the first week host family to the second week host family.

８月２日(火）高校生との交流会＆トヨタ工場見学

Aug. 2: Midland high school students met Japanese high school students,
 then took a factory tour. in Toyota Motor Corporation.

自己紹介やクイズで楽しみました。

交流会の後は、日本の高校生と一緒にバスに乗り、トヨタ工場見学に向かいました。

After the meeting, they went to Toyota factory with Japanese high school students by bus.

ランチ(バスの中で食べました）
They had a lunch in bus.

交流会参加の高校生と一緒にトヨタ展示館とトヨタ工場を見学しました

８月３日（水）第３週目のホストファミリー宅へ移動しました。
あっと言う間に２週間が過ぎてしまいました。

Aug. 3: Midland students moved to 3rd week host family house..
Two weeks have been already passed!

8月4日（木）京都見学。暑い日となりました。

August 4: Trip to Kyoto. It was a hot summer day.

昨日(8月5日）は、会長宅に全員(48名）が招待され、みんなでBQQを楽しみました。(写真準備中）ミッドランドの三人は、参加した9家族のホストファミリー、そして関係者とともに、とても楽しいひと時を過ごしました。『会長、ご招待ありがとうございました！』

Three students and host families were invited to BBQ party at Mr. Matsuishi's house on Aug. 5. All people enjoyed the party very much. Thank you very much!

８月１０日(水）セントレア国際空港にて
搭乗する飛行機は７時間半遅れて、午後８時４３分無事出発しました。

Aug.10：At the Airport

The airplane departed from the airport at 8:45 PM.
But, the flight is delayed by 7 hours and 30 min.
