Ｄａｔｅ	Committee	Activity
Mar. 2nd	Japanese Salon Committee Ｐｉｃｔｕｒｅｓ　Ｃｌｉｃｋ	The 4th international potluck party was held from 11:30 to 14:00 on March 2nd at the auditorium in Handa-shi Fukushi Bunka Kaikan. 112 people from 9 countries enjoyed the party.
Feb.24th	Training committee	The Brazil Part II seminar was held in the evening of February 24th in Handa-shi Fukushi Bunka Kaikan . It was the 2nd culture diversity seminar About 80 people including 60 Brazilian people joined the seminar. The main subject of the seminar was “Life plan in Japan”. The participants enjoyed cake and tea during the seminar.
Feb. 3rd	Japanese Salon committee	About 50 students and teachers participated “Mamemaki” event in Japanese class. (Mamemaki - an anuual Japanese event to keep bad luck out and invite good luck)
Feb. 2nd	Administration office	The 6th operating committee was held. Each committee updated their activities. The result of the half year account settlement was reported. The budget and activities in next fuscal year were reviewed.
Jan. 23rd	Training committee	Reviewed the plan of the 2nd culture diversity seminar of Brazil II which will be held on Feb. 24th.
Jan. 22nd	IT-Public Relation committee	The committee was held to edit the 28th bulletin KonnichiWorld. It will be issued on Mar. 16th.
Jan. 20th	Japanese Salon committee Ｐｉｃｔｕｒｅｓ　Ｃｌｉｃｋ	After a Japnese class, the students experienced “Kakizome” (calligraphy for the New Year) at the Japanese style room in Kariyado hall. After calligraphy, “Zenzai” (a popular Japanese sweet dessert) was served. The teachers and students also enjoyed “Fukuwarai” game, “Otedama”, “Karuta” games.. About 60 people participated.
Jan. 7th	Administration office	Jan. 7th is the first work day of the year. The administration office staff will continue to try its best.
Jan. 6th	Japanese Salon committee	The first Japanese class of the year. Many students and volunteer teachers gathered.
Dec. 27th	Training committee	The last work day of the year. A year end party was held at Handa citizen center which strated ar 6 pm.
Dec. 20th	Japanese Salon committee	The last Japanese class of the year. The tea party was held for the students and teachers.
Dec. 19th	Training committee	Reviewed the plan for the 2nd culture diversity seminar.
Nov. 26th	Japanese Salon committee （Ｐｉｃｔｕｒｅｓ　Ｃｌｉｃｋ）	Japanese class students and resident foreigners had an outdoor class in Meiji-Mura.
Nov. 20th	The 2nd board meeting	The 2nd board meeting of Handa international Association was held at Handa Citizen Culture Exchange center. They reviewed the operation of the association and the subsidy which will be given by Handa city in next year.
Nov. 4th	The 5th KonnichiWorld festival Ｐｉｃｔｕｒｅｓ	The 5th KonnichiWorld festival was held in Kariyado hall on November 4th (Sunday).
Oct. 5th	Administration office	Handa International Association had a welcome party for the delegations from the sister cities and friendship city of Handa (Midland, Port Macquarie, Xuzhou) and the friendship hospital of Handa hospital, Nantong university hospital, at Hakusan restaurant. About 100 people participated.
Oct. 5th	Administration office	The delegations from the sister cities and friendship city made a courtesy visit to Handa city office. The association participated in the ceremony. During the ceremony, gifts were exchanged. The delegations stayed in Handa from Oct. 4th to Oct. 8th to see Handa Dashi festival and meet Handa people.
Oct. 1st	Administration office	Attended the ceremony to celebrate the 70th anniversary of Handa city reorganization
Sep. 29th	Public Relation committee	Editorial committee for the 27th konnichiWorld bulletin
Sep. 23rd	Japanese Salon committee Ｐｉｃｔｕｒｅｓ	Am outdoor class of “Know about Handa” was held. The students and teachers went to Handa museum and Handa sky science museum. They had a good time in the museums They also enjoyed a planetarium in Handa Sky museum.
Sep. 21st	Administration office	Attended the meeting to finalize the plan to host the delegations from the sister cities and friendship city.
Sep. 17th	Event committee	The 2nd event committee was held to review the detail plan for the 5th KonnichiWorld festival. Foreign country booth, performance, food service, etc. were reviewed.
Sep. 13th	Administration office	Attended the meeting hosted by Aichi prefecture International Association.
Aug. 31st	Operating committee	The 5th operating committee was held. Each committee updated its activity. Event committee reviewed KonnichiWorld festival which is planned to be held on Nov. 4th, the plan for the joint welcome party of Dashi festival, etc.
Aug. 20th	Administration office	Attended the meeting for the invitation of three sister cities to Dashi festival
Aug. 5th	Japanese salon committee Ｐｉｃｔｕｒｅｓ	The 2nd Tanabata festival was held. Total 126 people including more than 50 foreigners participated. The foreigners appreciated Japnese cultures in the festival and had a good time with Japanese people.
Jul. 26th	Operating committee	The 4th operating committee was held and reviewed the invitation of sister cities to Autumn Dashi festival and the projects financed by the friendship fund.
Jul. 25th	Training committee	Learning Brazil seminar was held as the 1st culture diversity seminar. The mayor, local community leaders and school people attended the seminar as well as the association members. There were a lot of good discussions. This seminar is the first step for the activity of culture diversity.
Jul. 25th	IT/Public relations committee	The 2nd IT/Public relations committee was held and reviewed the plan of activities.
Jul. 24th	Administration office	Midland exchange students visited the association office and talked with the volunteers of the association.
Jul. 22nd	Administration office	Went to the party of Oiska Chube training center to commemorate the 40th anniversary of its foundation.
Jul. 21st	Administration office 〔Ｐｉｃｔｕｒｅｓクリック〕	Went to the welcome party for Midland exchange students.
Jul. 10th & 13th	Administration office 〔Ｐｉｃｔｕｒｅｓクリック〕	The delegation of Qinnianlu primary school came to Handa from Jul. 10th to 13th from Xuzhou city in China which is one of the sister cities of Handa. The association actively supported the event including arranging three Chinese interpreters for them.
Jul. 8th	The ceremony of text book donation (Donated by Tokura Construction Co. Ltd.) （Ｐｉｃｔｕｒｅｓへ）	35 text books of Learning Japanese were donated by Tokura Construction Co. Ltd. The association received them with Japanese class students.
Jul. 3rd	Operating committee	The 3rd operating committee was held.
Jul. 2nd	Training committee	Training committee reviewed the first culture diversity seminar and decided to hold the seminar of Learning Brazil.
Jul. 1st	Public relations committee	Published No. 126 bulletin, 『KonnichiWorld.』
Jun. 12th	Operating committee	The 5th operating committee was held. Each committee updated its activity. Administration office reviewed the plan of activities in this year.
Jun. 11th	Training committee	Reviewed the plan of activities in this year. It was discussed to make the details for the plans on Learning Brazil, Learning China and culture exchange events.
Jun. 11th	Public relations committee	Reviewed the plan of activities in this year Discussed the issue of a bulletin KonnichiWorld, better reporting on the activities of the association and enhancement of home page.
Jun. 10th	Japanese salon committee	Reviewed the plan of activities in this year Discussed Tanabata festival party, Autumn outdoor class, International potluck party and the Sunday Japanese class management.
Jun. 7th	Public relations committee	The 2nd editorial meeting of a bulletin was held. Reviewed the contents of a bulletin.
Jun. 4th	Foreigner event committee	The 1st foreigner event committee was held. Discussed activities in this year.
Jun. 1st	Administration office	Attended Aichi international association organization meeting sponsored by Aichi prefecture international association.
May 27th	Japanese salon committee （Pictures）	37 foreigners and 17 Japanese volunteers　had the outdoor class after the regular Japanese class. They visited Sake museum and Vinegar museum
May 24th	Administration office	Attended the communication meeting for city/town/village international association organization which was sponsored by Aichi prefecture international association.
May 22nd	Operating committee	The 1st operating committee for Heisei 19 was held. The committee appointed leaders of committees and discussed activities in this year.
May 13th	A concert for the commemoration of the general assembly （Pictures）	African Express concert for the commemoration of the general assembly was held.
May 13th	The general assembly （Pictures）	Heisei 19 general assembly was held. All proposed agenda were approved.
May 13th	Meeting by the nominated directors	The nominated directors had a meeting.
May 10th	Public relations committee	The editorial meeting was held to prepare the publication of No. 126 bulletin.
April 24th	Board meeting	The 4th board meeting in Heisei 18 was held. The items such as the activities done in Heisei 18, the accounting, the proposal of new board members, etc. were reviewed and approved.
April 15th	Japanese Salon committee （Ｐｉｃｔｕｒｅｓ）	After the regular Japanese class, students and teachers went to Sumiyoshi shrine with some foreign residents in Handa to see Chintoro festival. Total 50 people participated. Everybody was impressed with a nice festival.
April 14th	Administration office	A welcome party for Koalas Orchestra was held at the auditorium in Kariyado hall from 5 pm to 6:30 pm. 176 people participated in the party. All people enjoyed the party and strengthened friendship.
April 13th	Administration office （Ｐｉｃｔｕｒｅｓ）	40 members of the Hastings Koalas Orchestra came to Handa from Port Macquarie. They met their host families. They stay one week in Handa area.
April 6th	Administration office	The annual accounting audit was conducted.
April 1st	Japanese Salon committee （Ｐｉｃｔｕｒｅｓ）	After the regular Japanese class, students and teachers went to Kariyado park for a cherry blossom picnic. At the park, the students introduced themselves in Japanese.
